Flour, finely ground cereal grains or other starchy portions of plants, used in various food products and as a basic ingredient of baked goods. Flour made from wheat grains is the most satisfactory type for baked products that require spongy structure. In modern usage, the word flour alone usually refers to wheat flour, the major type in Western countries.
Flours are also made from other starchy plant materials including barley, buckwheat, chickpeas, lima beans, oats, peanuts, potatoes, soybeans, rice, and rye.
Monounsaturated fat such as liquid vegetable oils, may be healthful. These vegetable oils are a primary source of vitamin E, an antioxidant that may fight free radicals and slow the aging process and perhaps help prevent cancer. Moreover, in a study of vitamin E intake and coronary heart disease (CHD), researchers found a 40 percent reduced risk of CHD among those with the highest consumption of the vitamin. Reducing vegetable fats that are rich in vitamin E may in fact raise the risk of CHD.
Mushrooms has long been considered a favorite food of man. They contain a number of substances to the human body. Flavors and specific pleasant aroma of mushroom dishes make an indispensable decoration of the table. Freshly harvested fruiting bodies of edible mushrooms, despite the large amount of water entering into their composition, contain a lot of valuable organic and mineral substances. Clean mushrooms rich nitrogenous substances, particularly proteins. Therefore, fungi, and is called "forest" meat.
